- Delivering screening and symptomatic breast imaging services including:
- Interpretation of screening mammograms
- New patient symptomatic clinics (including clinical and imaging assessment)
- Screening assessment clinics
- Intervention (predominantly image-guided intervention such as ultrasound and stereotactic guided core biopsy)
- Undertaking clinical examinations and formulating diagnostic pathway plans
- Participating in MDT meetings
- Optimising patient management
- Communicating with the multidisciplinary team
- Undertaking audit and service improvement projects
- Collaborating in research

- Credential in breast disease management (NBIA, RCR), or; Postgraduate qualifications in mammography and breast ultrasound with relevant clinical experience
- Post graduate medical qualification
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Ability to independently undertake all aspects of symptomatic breast work
- Completed a minimum of 12 years' medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades - equivalent years' experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted

- Experience of teaching clinical skills to radiology registrars / trainees
