
Estate Manager - Colchester

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
- Hybrid working available after full training (pattern agreed with line manager)
- Property Maintenance & Repairs - Liaising with contractors and landlords to oversee maintenance and repair projects, including sourcing quotes and managing progress.
- Lease Interpretation - Understanding and applying lease terms such as repair obligations, access rights, and ensuring charges comply with lease provisions.
- Supplier & Agent Management - Coordinating with a range of third parties, including security contractors and agents marketing surplus premises.
- Departmental Administration - Supporting day-to-day operations through appointment scheduling, digital filing, and post management.
- Invoice & Payment Support - Processing invoices, handling service charges and business rates, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Business Rates Queries - Engaging with local authorities to clarify billing discrepancies or explore available grants.
- Cross-Department Collaboration - Working closely with teams such as Finance, Facilities, and IT to coordinate building repairs, installations, or payments.
- Highly reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Property or estate management background is a must
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to self-organise
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident interacting with colleagues, suppliers, and external contacts
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and the wider Office suite
- Full UK driving licence is essential due to regular site visits
