Salary: £400–£450 per week (PAYE)Vision for Education is recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Coniston on a full-time basis, starting in September 2025.About the RoleAre you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Do you have a natural ability to build relationships and offer positive support to students who need it most?We’re seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Years 7–11). You will be supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour due to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated conditions such as Autism or ADHD.Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams, your role will involve:Providing in-class support and working 1:1 or with small groupsUsing de-escalation and behaviour management techniquesHelping students develop self-regulation, confidence, and learning focusDelivering tailored learning interventions and mentoring sessionsThis is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is resilient, calm under pressure, and committed to making a difference in the lives of young people from underprivileged or vulnerable backgrounds.About the SchoolThis well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Cumbria offers a supportive and inclusive environment where staff work collaboratively to help every student reach their full potential.
