The Warehouse General Manager will oversee warehouse operations within a key site for the group, ensuring efficient and effective management of processes. This role requires positive leadership to drive operational excellence and strategic growth.As the Warehouse General Manager, you will,
  • Lead and manage warehouse operations, building engagement, and operational performance
  • Financial accountability for the operation, reviewing the P&L weekly, and driving actions accordingly
  • Ensure the Warehouse team operate with customer centric behaviours, valuing the relationship, and where possible , supporting with solutions
  • Use management information to help prioritise operational focus, and drive improvement activity as a result of the analysis
  • Review and assess flow through the warehouse operations, reviewing and changing layouts to improve productivity (without compromising health and safety).
  • As part of the SLT, support the overall site and group objectives

  • A strong background within customer centric, warehouse operations, with a track record of supporting a complex outbound supply chain
  • Proven leadership capabilities to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement changes in warehouse layout, processes, and structure to drive productivity
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in logistics, ideally with food supply chains
  • Proficiency in relevant IT systems (WMS) and tools used in logistics management, using date to drive activity
