FX Java Developer - Java, Ultra Low Latency, FX Trading, JavaScript, HTML5, Investment Banking, London - paying up to £70,000A Junior Java Developer is currently being sought after by a leading Investment Bank, to join their Ultra-Low Latency FX Trading team. You would be required to assist in improving the scalability of the platform utilising Java, improve automation testing coverage, and create clear documentation covering architectural choices, solution design and any complicated code points. A key part of this role would be working in close collaboration with eFX Quantitative research (and Trading Teams) to discuss a wide range of topics regarding the direction of the platform (goals, design feedback, feedback on enhancements)To be successful in this role you would need the following:
- Strong hands-on development with Java (preferably J2SE), with some familiarity working on a Core Java platform is essential
- Good exposure utilising JavaScript/Typescript, and HTML5 for web practices is highly beneficial
- Prior Investment Banking experience is essential, with a strong preference for someone currently working within a FX Trading team
- Good knowledge of modern software development practices, ideally working within an Agile environment is highly beneficialThis is a great opportunity for a Junior Developer to come in work for on a FX Trading platform, within a business-critical part of the bank.
