- Undertake a full range of joinery tasks, including benchwork and repairs in a building maintenance environment.
- Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance .
- Work from provided working drawings, ensuring accuracy and quality in execution.
- Identify, order, and collect materials as required.
- Provide job-costing and time-recording information as needed.
- Participate in a 24-hour emergency callout service if required.
- Assist in the training and on-the-job coaching of new employees, contractors, apprentices, or other relevant staff.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, including work at heights.
- Maintain detailed records of work for performance monitoring and reporting purposes.
Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of applications:
- Be a time-served Joiner or hold relevant qualifications such as Parts 1 and 2 Certificates in Craft and Advanced Craft in Carpentry and Joinery.
- Possess a full, current driving licence valid in Northern Ireland, or have access to transport that meets the requirements of the post.
- Demonstrate at least one year's relevant experience in the following areas:
- Working in a building maintenance environment.
- Undertaking benchwork and joinery repairs in commercial properties.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve objectives.
- Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding the importance of compliance and appropriate use of PPE.
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and complete documentation.
