Our client, a highly regarded European Solar Developer, is seeking a German Qualified Legal Counsel who will primarily support their German business with the development and construction of large-scale ground-mounted solar PV projects.Job Responsibilities:Pro-actively and autonomously provide legal support in solar project development specifically and corporate business in generalBe the go-to person for all solar PV project legal-related matters in GermanyNegotiate and finalize agreements with third-party contractorsManage legal processes for our solar PV projects in GermanyProvide high standards and best practice legal support in the project construction process, supporting with drafting, negotiating and finalizing key project agreements such as EPC contracts and O&M contracts.Involvement in other stages of the project lifecycle, including incorporation of SPVs, land agreements, PPAs and project financing.Track changes to legislation and their impact on our development pipeline/future focusInstructing and managing external lawyersRequirements:An experienced and energetic legal specialist who will support the business by ensuring legal compliance at all stages in its venture of growth.5-10 years experience as a construction lawyer, preferably in renewable energyGerman qualified lawyer is preferred, but will consider lawyers qualified in other jurisdictions.High-level understanding and interest in the different aspects of the project, including development, technical, offtake, O&M and project finance.Strong negotiation, influencing, and commercial skillsSpoken and written fluency in German and EnglishWillingness to travel occasionally within (or to) Germany and abroad.In conclusion, Don't miss this exciting opportunity to be part of the renewable energy revolution.
