Reception Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Enfield
Support early learning and make a real difference from day one.Protocol Education is working with a highly regarded primary school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant. This full-time role starts in September 2025 and offers the opportunity to support young learners at a crucial stage in their development.Location: Enfield
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time, term time
Pay: £90–£95 per day (depending on experience)The Role:As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of the Early Years Foundation Stage team—working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and child-led learning activities. You’ll help children build confidence, routines, and a love for school life.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-class support during carpet sessions, group work, and continuous provision
  • Assist with phonics, early numeracy, and personal development activities
  • Help manage classroom routines and promote positive behaviour
  • Support observational assessments and contribute to learning journals
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
About You:
  • Experience working in a Reception or EYFS setting is essential
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare/teaching assistant qualification is preferred
  • A warm, patient, and proactive approach with excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and child safeguarding procedures
  • Thrive training is an advantage—but not a must. (We offer free Thrive Approach training for our educators.)
