Our dedication to technological advancement and sustainability has gained recognition from industry-leading organizations such as the Cleantech Group, Futurebuild, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the Royal Academy of Engineering.Job ProfileBased in our London laboratories, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Laboratory Chemist to support all facets of our aerogel application development. You will work in the Application Development Department, supporting the R&D team on the development, optimization, and enhancement of integrated aerogel products. Your responsibilities will include:Laboratory Operations
  • Prepare reagents and stock solutions
  • Manage inventory, stock control, and ordering of lab supplies
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment
Analytical Characterisation
  • Develop and operate analytical methods for the characterisation of integrated aerogel products
  • Perform thermal, mechanical, and structural analyses using appropriate instrumentation
Data Management & Reporting
  • Collect and analyse experimental data using statistical methods
  • Document findings and contribute to scientific reporting and presentations
Continuous Improvement & Safety
  • Drive improvements in lab practices and experimental workflows
  • Uphold and enhance health and safety standards within the laboratory environment

  • BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science or equivalent experience

  • Experience working in-lab on wet chemical processes / formulations – required
  • Experience of analytical method development - required
  • Experience working with polymer characterisation techniques, thermal conductivity measurements – beneficial
  • Knowledge of polymer / materials chemistry – beneficial
