Harrogate Integrated Facilities are inviting applications to fill a Senior Sterile Services Technician post in our reputable Sterile Services Department.We have recently expanded and have opportunities to recruit friendly and highly motivated individuals to our well established technical team of around 40 staff. You will be committed to teamwork and delivering a first class customer service.The department specialises in processing surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes through the decontamination lifecycle, ready for patient use. It has a throughput of approximately 180,000 surgical instruments and 1500 flexible endoscopes each month.Following a successful probation period the candidate will be offered an Apprenticeship Standard 099 in Healthcare Science Assistant L2.Main duties of the jobTo work within the Sterile Services team, reprocessing medical devices for clinical use, in accordance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42 EEC ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 and work within the requirements of the internal quality management systems and the current issue of the departmental SOP's/POP'sTo train new staff in all areas of the departmentSenior Technicians need to demonstrate a quality focus and vigilance supporting the contents of all quality procedures and the quality manual at all times.About usWorking for HIFAll our colleagues play an important role in ensuring that we continue to provide the best possible healthcare service for our community.
