We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.Responsibilities
- Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid HGV licence.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and loading procedures is advantageous.
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
