We are currently working with one of our clients based in the Rawtenstall area who are on the look out for a new production manager to take over the end to end production process at one of their sites. This is a large site with a head count of over 100 across 2 shifts, this is a days based role. Monday to Friday.Production Manager – Responsibilities:Planning of staff rotas, overtime, shift pattern management and contractor control.Direct responsibility for the Production department to ensure that the team are appropriately trained and motivated to carry out their responsibilities to the required level.Strict adherence to on site health and safety, production procedures and healthy and safety by all direct reports.Comply with company HR & HS policiesWork closely with engineering, sales, supply chain teams to streamline all production processes.Hold production meetings with the production and engineering teams daily to ensure clear instructions and communicate any ongoing issues to achieve all operational goals.Ensure standards of quality are monitored and maintained at all times by liaising with the QA ManagerTrack KPI’s and prepare reports on production efficiency, costs and performance metricsInvolvement in all customer audits for Quality, H&S and environmental compliance.Monitor raw materials, equipment and labour to optimise volume and quality of production output.Ensure all paperwork/housekeeping is completely fully and field and weekly audits completed in a timely mannerBe present and involved in quality investigations and where possible add input to prevent reoccurrenceProduction Manager – Skills Required:Proven experience in managing, leading and motivating large teams – Minimum of 5 yearsFamiliarity with production processes, lean manufacturing or similar methodologiesProficiency in manufacturing software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical and decision-making abilities to troubleshoot and optimise processes.Excellent written and verbal skillsGood people skills and ability to work well with key stakeholders and other colleaguesHigh level of emotional intelligenceFirst Aider – Training can be providedFire Marshall – Training can be providedHealth and safety awarenessNEBOSHAudit experience – Minimum 3 yearsHousekeeping Management.Production Manager – Package:Salary – £40-45kExcellent pension schemeExcellent retail discountExcellent healthcare packageExtensive list of benefits available on request (Sent as an additional document)
