Permanent | Full TimeWe are working with a highly respected global engineering business to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their expanding UK service team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on mechanical skills, some electrical capability, and a passion for delivering excellent service on-site.The RoleThis field-based role primarily covers the Halifax area, with occasional travel across the UK and occasional overnight stays. You'll be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of specialised equipment at customer sites.Install and commission industrial/technical equipment on-sitePerform routine and reactive service and maintenance tasksDiagnose and resolve faults involving mechanical and basic electrical systemsDeliver high levels of technical support and customer serviceKeep accurate service records and documentationThe CandidateBackground in precision or mechanical engineeringCompleted an apprenticeship and/or BTEC in engineeringPractical, hands-on experience with mechanical systems and some electrical work (e.g. replacing boards, using test equipment)Confident using IT systems and technical documentationStrong communication and organisational skillsDriving licenceDesirable AttributesExperience in a field service or mobile engineering roleSelf-motivated and capable of working independentlyCustomer-focused with a professional attitudeThe BenefitsPermanent role with a well-established and globally recognised engineering companyFull training and ongoing supportAutonomy, variety, and the opportunity to travelLong-term career development prospectsCompetitive salary and benefits package
