- Handling the essentials: You'll be creating and processing purchase orders, making sure every detail aligns with business guidelines.
- Checking twice, buying once: Reviewing requisitions will be key - ensuring everything is approved and documented correctly before orders go out.
- Connecting the dots: You'll be their point person with vendors, confirming order specifics, prices, and delivery times to keep things flowing smoothly.
- Keeping tabs: Tracking and updating the status of all purchase orders, from shipment to delivery, will be part of your daily duties.
- Team player: You'll work closely with other departments to understand their needs and make sure their purchasing requirements are met.
- Problem-solver: When issues pop up with pricing, quantities, or deliveries, you'll be on it, finding solutions quickly and efficiently.
- Record keeper: Maintaining pristine records of all purchasing transactions in our systems will be crucial for their operations.
- Supporting the bigger picture: You'll assist with audits by providing all the necessary documentation, and team up with Accounts Payable to sort out any invoice or PO mismatches.
- Proactive follow-up: You'll keep an eye on open orders and chase up anything that's overdue.
- Some experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations is essential.
- Familiarity with purchase order and inventory management systems.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy is a must
- Great organisational and time management skills are essential in their fast-paced environment.
- You should be comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skills are vital for working with both vendors and internal colleagues.
- Experience in a manufacturing or specific industry setting.
- A basic understanding of accounting and invoice processing.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP system.
