You'll possess excellent clinical knowledge, strong communication skills and the ability to influence and lead. The combination of responsibilities will significantly facilitate your growth in both the clinical and leadership aspect of this role.You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote clinical and cost-effective prescribing through evidence based guidelines. The post holder will develop, audit and monitor Medicines Management processes within the service and provide training and supervision to departmental staff.In addition to well-developed communication and leadership skills you will have previous experience of working within a clinical environment and will have completed a post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork would be advantageous.Training and support will be provided. A commitment to continuing professional development is essential. It is envisaged that the candidate will possess a prescribing qualification or be prepared to work towards one.About usThe Pharmacy Department at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals is a large department (over 150 staff) and a friendly environment with established senior support.   • 12 months pre-registration training and experience.
  • Registered with the GPhC.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy.

  • Management/Leadership qualification
  • Membership of The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
