We support the Routes with a myriad of services and supplies they need to maintain and operate the railway. See the diagram for a breakdown of our services. To learn more, please click to watch our video.This role sits within Supply Chain Operations (SCO), an area of the business which supplies and delivers the logistics, materials, components, rail and road fleet that enable the maintenance and renewal of the railway.SCO keeps the materials, machinery and components required by its customers moving - making sure they are on-site when needed so work can go ahead as planned and on schedule. Watch our videoWorking with us isAbout the role (External)In this role you'll use corporate planning tools and systems to create detailed, well-resourced, and efficient work plans. These plans will be reviewed and approved by Section Managers.Key accountabilities include:1. Plan and optimise all agreed work activities for the section.2. Accurately update systems, databases and records as required.3. Produce Safe System of Work plans.4. Submit green zone access and isolation requests.5. Produce draft quarterly plans.6. Manage weekly Plan-Do-Review meetings.7. Represent Section Managers at planning meetings.8. Collate and maintain infrastructure maintenance records.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following criteria:Essential· Work Plan production and resource optimisation skills.· Scheduling profile in work planning/scheduling system.· Core Planning Skills Level 2.· Knowledge of access and possession processes and systems.· Safe System of Work Planning Process and System.· Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Desirable· Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques.How to apply (External)Vacancy type: This role is permanent.Location: This position is based at our Bletchley Super Depot, with infrequent travel between depots as required.Hours: 35 hours per week.Salary range: £26,500 - £32,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.Closing date: 11 September 2025.
