Provide strategic insight to senior leaders and elected governance while overseeing risk, investments, and a high-performing finance team.
  • Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Oversee statutory reporting, regulatory compliance and audit preparation
  • Manage organisational risk, reserves, and investment portfolio
  • Provide financial insight and challenge to support strategic decision-making
  • Build strong relationships with external advisers, auditors and banking partners
  • Ensure high standards of financial governance, control, and accountability
  • Support senior leaders and elected governance with timely, accurate reporting
6 months contractDrive financial planning and governance at a national membership body.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in senior finance roles, ideally within membership, public or voluntary sector settings
  • Strong technical expertise in financial planning, reporting and compliance
  • Comfortable operating within a governance-led environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially astute, with integrity, resilience and a collaborative approach
