Fantastic position working in the beautiful Peak District for a down to earth informal familyJob Summary:A family of 6 living in a stunning are of the Peak District is looking for a hands on and proactive domestic couple to oversee the smooth running of their home. This is the family's primary residence, with the two eldest children are away at school/university.Job specification:Housekeeper:
  • Carry out all cleaning duties
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Change bed linens
  • Run errands and house shopping
  • Light household admin support
  • Occasional family cooking as required. The family bring in caters for dinner parties and events
  • Assisting with the children on occasion and helping with the odd school pick up. Their grandmother lives on the estate but there may be times when you will be asked to watch over the children (aged 8 and 11) for an hour or so.
All Rounder:
  • Carry out garden maintenance
  • Indoor and outdoor maintenance and DIY
  • Managing and overseeing specialist contractors
  • Service garden machinery
  • Clean and look after the cars eg fuel, checking tyres and valeting
  • Driving duties as and when required
Both:
  • Support with events and entertaining on occasion
  • Pet care (2 dogs and 1 cat) and possible pet and house sitting when the family are away
Candidate specification:
  • The family are keen to find a couple who are looking for a long-term role
  • You will need to be comfortable with working independently, have good initiative, and a can-do attitude
  • The family are looking for candidates who are happy to work outside of their working hours when needed to assist with ad hoc driving or child supervision
  • You need to be child and pet friendly
  • Both sides need to be confident drivers
