
Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

- Full GMC registration
- Relevant CCT or equivalent [equivalence must be confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of GMC]
- Entry on the GMC specialist register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of AAC
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- ATSM Advanced Labour ward Practice
- Completed BFS Fertility training modules or equivalent
- Completed RCOG Menopause or equivalent
- Higher level teaching in Fertility / post-reproductive health
- Experience in complex surgical gynaecological care
- Leadership skills to take forward service developments and quality improvement
- Evidence of active participation in quality improvement, service redesign or business development.
- Clinical Training and experience in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology equivalent to that required of a UK CCST
- Excellent clinical skills and experience including experience with fertility and post reproductive health
- Independent reproductive surgery
- Understanding the principles of clinical governance and its implications
- Active participation in audit
- Computing & IT skills
- Evidence of audit involvement HFEA/ Fertility/ post reproductive life
- Proven ability to organise and contribute to teaching programmes for the multi- disciplinary team.
- An ability to support a multidisciplinary team and to take a lead in the clinical aspects within such a team
- Evidence of ongoing learning and personal growth
- Formal training in teaching and training
- Higher degree
- Publications arising from research
