Are you looking to work with a supportive, friendly team that's always ready to help?A passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is required to support various temporary roles within a network of specialist schools across the Guildford area. The role involves supporting learners across primary and secondary phases, working on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or leading intervention sessions. The role starts ASAP, with both part-time and full-time hours available.The schools have a strong community ethos, ensuring every child feels valued and supported. Learners are of mixed abilities, including SEN, with around 70+ pupils enrolled at each site. The schools follow a broad and balanced curriculum, and academic attainment is above the national average.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEN and mixed-ability learners
  • Assist with intervention sessions to help learners meet their individual goals
  • Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to ensure students are fully supported
  • Adapt to the individual needs of learners and provide personalised support
  • Support a positive learning environment in line with the schools' ethos
  • Help maintain and foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment

Requirements:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or similar role within education or care
  • Knowledge of working with SEN learners or mixed-ability groups
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to build relationships quickly with learners and colleagues
  • Previous experience in schools, nurseries, or care settings is essential
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
