Estate Services Team Leader - East London£19.92/hour | ⏰ 35 hours/week | East LondonAre you a reliable and enthusiastic Team Leader looking for your next opportunity in a great working environment? We're hiring on behalf of a respected client who's looking for hands-on leaders to ensure their estates are clean, safe, and well maintained.Your Role:As an Estate Services Team Leader, you'll be responsible for both team supervision (40%) and operational cleaning duties (60%). This role requires someone who can lead by example, keep things running smoothly, and maintain high service standards for residents.Main ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management✅ Supervise and support a team of Estate Services Operatives✅ Oversee caretaking, bulk waste removal, and minor maintenance✅ Complete timesheets, sick forms & conduct performance reviews✅ Lead team meetings and 1:1s, ensuring quality and resolving issuesOperational DutiesClean communal areas (stairwells, foyers, car parks, etc.)️ Maintain lifts, signage, bins, and estate fixturesRemove litter, dog waste, and drug-related materials safelyHandle deep cleans and refuse area rotationRemove weeds and plant waste from hard surfacesReport and carry out minor repairs❄️ Clear snow and apply salt during bad weather for safe accessAssist with bulk refuse removalMonitoring & InspectionMaintain high standards of estate services and customer careTrack and follow up on repair requests and partner performance️ Keep maintenance logs and equipment records updatedCollaboration & SupportWork closely with Housing Managers and internal teams‍ Support the Estate Services Manager with service improvementsStep in for the Manager when needed️ Attend resident forums and meetings as requiredWorking Hours35 hours/week (7-hour shifts between 8am-6pm on a rota)Weekend duty: 1 in every 4 weekends (with time off in lieu)Please note: Overtime and travel expenses are not covered
