Salary: £86 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-timeDo you have the drive and dedication to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs?GSL Education are currently recruiting for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support. This role involves working both on-site and off-site, so a full UK driving licence with business insurance is essential.As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Providing consistent emotional and behavioural support tailored to individual needs.
  • Assisting with off-site provisions and transporting students when required.
  • Helping to manage challenging behaviour and build positive relationships.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote pupil wellbeing and progress.
To be a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will require:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
  • Be calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance.
  • Be confident supporting learning across a range of subjects and settings.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the past 10 years.
