Oliver James are currently recruiting for a Senior Syndicate Accountant to join our client in the London office on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the preparation , delivery and presentation of the syndicate financial results to the Syndicate Finance Manager and the submissions of all regulatory reporting to Lloyds and annual statutory financial statements.To be considered for this role , we are looking for professionals with the below qualifications, skills and experience:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA accounting qualification (post qualification experienced)
  • Insurance experience (Must be Lloyds)
  • Syndicate general ledger experience
  • Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholder
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, data manipulation and handling data sets essential
If you have the above qualifications, skills and experience – should you be the right professional for the role , you will be involved with the below responsibilities:
  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of the Syndicate general ledger across all line items. Ensure proper financial controls are executed
  • Manage the external Syndicate audit working during statutory cycles as required
  • Supporting the preparation of the monthly Flash report, Syndicate Executive pack and quarterly Syndicate Board packs
  • Reviewing the production of all necessary regulatory returns and internal planning
  • Being involved in the implementation of financial controls within the Syndicate Financial Reporting team
  • Training junior staff members with necessary job knowledge and/or professional qualification
  • To build and maintain business relationship within Syndicate and the wider Finance function
