We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and committed Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in general and musculoskeletal radiology to our cohesive, hard-working and friendly team. The BHNFT Medical Imaging Team includes Consultant Radiologists, radiology specialty doctors, radiology residents, consultant mammographers and Advanced Practitioners and provides a comprehensive imaging service. The trust is rated as good by the CQC with performance benchmarked well within the top quartile of acute trusts by NHSE.Responsibilities would include augmenting and enhancing musculoskeletal services delivered by Medical Imaging, support of general imaging services with colleagues and MDT support.The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the general radiology workflow, audit, quality improvement, MDT work, teaching, and general on-call rota (1 in 8). Teleradiology cover the acute MR service from 17:00-20:00 on weekdays and 08:00 20:00 at weekends and the acute CT service from 20:00 08:30.All successful candidates will have dedicated office space, shared acute reporting spaces within the main department. Home workstations are be provided for on-call duties and to allow for periods of working from home (to be agreed at job plan meetings).Main duties of the jobWe have benefited from recent investment including CT, MRI, Ultrasound and a flagship Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) within Barnsley Glass Works in the heart of the community with opportunities for greater expansion.Candidates should have 6 months recent higher-level training in their area of interest at a recognised training centre or equivalent experience in a similar post.
