- Build state of the art Technology Platforms for the design and production of high efficiency MicroLED products
- Key member of the Phosphide and Nitride Epitaxy Team
- Contribute to achieving the Epitaxial roadmap with short and long term product requirements that contribute to the wider R&D efforts of the business
- execute testing and analysis of new processes, including characterization, process control and quality
- Work in conjunction with the relevant engineering teams such as Process Engineering and Equipment Tool owners, Characterization and Test, and Shift Engineers to achieve successful outcomes
- Conform to all operating procedures such as health and safety, environmental and FAB procedures are implemented to relevant standards
- Constantly seek out and implement opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Willing to grow and develop knowledge and skills within the organisation
- Ability to maintain high quality standards doing development in a production environment
- Experience of MOCVD Growth experience, preferably in Photonics
- Experience working in R&D Process engineering roles in a related field
- An appreciation of the engineering challenges relating to the development and manufacture of MicroLEDs across a range of disciplines including; III/V epitaxial growth and device processing
- Knowledge of the technology landscape and competition desirable
- High level of optical, thermal and/or electrical simulation skills highly desirable
- Experience of analogue and power technology would also be beneficial
- Familiar with gated product development processes desirable
- Familiar with Failure Analysis, Defect classification and quality tools desirable
- BSc (required) or higher degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Optical engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a related subject.
