TasksAs a Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Create and update manufacturing instructions, tooling, and inspection documentation.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to implement effective manufacturing solutions.
  • Develop new processes and layouts to improve throughput, flexibility, and compliance.
  • Identify waste, analyse root causes, and deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, cost, and timing goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with Operations teams.
  • Analyse performance data and recommend improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, process mapping, and statistical tools.
  • Support equipment maintenance and manage tooling/equipment data in SAP.
  • Optimise workflows through time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.

  • HND (or higher) in Mechanical discipline with strong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Training in Lean, Continuous Improvement, and SPC desirable.
Experience & Knowledge
  • 3-5 years leading manufacturing/engineering projects with proven process improvements.
  • Strong Lean and problem-solving skills (Pareto, DMAIC, OEE, 5 Whys, 8D).
  • Experienced in technical documentation, tooling, and inspection regimes.
  • Knowledge of metal processing and aerospace finishing operations.
  • Proficient in engineering drawings, metrology, ERP/MRP and CAD.
  • Skilled in data-driven improvements, automation, and workflow optimisation.
  • Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
