- Architecting and engineering cloud infrastructure within AWS to support both existing services and greenfield projects.
- Maintaining and optimizing cloud assets to ensure high performance and cost efficiency.
- Participating in a team responsible for the upkeep of a diverse suite of applications, including SaaS, PaaS, and in-house developed solutions.
- Supporting the Head of Technology with the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and processes.
- Responding promptly to urgent technical incidents, including providing out-of-hours support as needed.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Preparing for and contributing to cybersecurity audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Professional certifications in AWS Cloud Services (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) or equivalent years of experience working in a AWS engineering role (3-4 years).
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS environments.
- Strong background in cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation with languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience preparing for audits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during incident response.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with agile methodologies and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to project management.
- Willingness to be on-call and respond to emergency situations as required.
