We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to join a growing LLP organisation on a Part-Time basis. This is a pivotal role working closely with the COO, shaping financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management, and providing the partnership with the insight needed to make confident, forward-looking decisions.The position offers the flexibility of predominately remote working, with occasional in-person meetings with the team in Cambridge.

The RoleAs Financial Controller, you will lead the financial operations, providing oversight of management accounts, forecasting, cash flow, and statutory compliance. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Practice Groups, bringing clarity and challenge to financial discussions. You will also play a key role in implementing a new organisation-wide management information system.As a project-led organisation, who partners with leading consultancies and financial services firms you will play a key role in reviewing and enhancing scalable processes to strengthen project accounting and ensure access to real-time project data.Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate, timely monthly management accounts with meaningful analysis.
  • Develop financial dashboards and KPIs to track business performance.
  • Lead the forecasting process, integrating sales pipeline data with financial planning.
  • Provide scenario analysis and financial modelling to support strategic decisions.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, partner drawings, and capital accounts.
  • Oversee statutory filings, including annual accounts and VAT returns, liaising with external accountants as needed.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to the senior leadership team, supporting decision-making and risk assessment.
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified accountant; ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong track record in a similar role, ideally in professional services or consultancy.
  • In-depth understanding of LLP structures and financial management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.
  • Strong communicator, accustomed to liaising with non-financial stakeholders.
  • An understanding of project-led accounting and revenue recognition.
