- Fabrication & Preparation: Fabricate and assemble bespoke water treatment and remediation systems, ensuring readiness for deployment on various projects.
- Installation & Mobilisation: Lead the setup and commissioning of water treatment plants and remediation systems at project sites across the UK and occasionally abroad.
- Operation & Maintenance: Operate, service, and maintain water treatment plants, ensuring optimal performance, including pH balancing through chemical dosing and/or CO2 injection.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including pumps, pipework, and PLCs.
- Instrumentation Calibration: Conduct routine calibration of pH sensors, total suspended solids (TSS) sensors, and other monitoring instruments.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project managers on system design, installation, and maintenance, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
- Assist with Pricing Works: Work with project managers to ascertain the necessary equipment for projects and assist in pricing works accurately.
- Site Visits & Travel: Work away from home regularly, with occasional overseas assignments. Travel throughout the UK will be required, along with visits to our Bristol yard for fabrication tasks as necessary.
- Proven experience in mechanical/process engineering within the remediation or water treatment sector.
- Strong fabrication skills, including welding (electrofusion welding experience is desirable).
- Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic pump maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic electrical fault finding.
- Basic electrical knowledge, with a preference for candidates who are qualified electricians.
- Knowledge of water treatment systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process flow diagrams.
- Full clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Right to work in the UK (required)
- Salary up to £46,000 depending on experience
