- Ensure compliance with internal Electrical Engineering Technical Procedures and all relevant legislation.
- Define maintenance and inspection requirements for electrical systems.
- Identify, specify, and manage electrical-focused contracts, including contractor performance and safety.
- Contribute to the rolling 5-year business plan for electrical systems, including budget management and phasing of expenditure.
- Plan and lead electrical inspection works during scheduled outages to maintain integrity, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide specialist electrical expertise and advice on both short-term operational issues and long-term asset strategy.
- Technical Background
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with HV and LV electrical systems, including transmission and distribution.
- Expertise in HV and LV protection systems.
- Experience in DSEAR management and compliance.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with a collaborative and positive approach.
- Adaptability to change, with the ability to manage priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and highly safety-conscious.
- Openness to developing skills in related disciplines, including Control & Instrumentation (C&I).
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, or HNC/HND with extensive industrial experience.
- Professional membership (or working towards) with the goal of achieving chartership.
