We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Chorley on a full-time basis, covering a maternity leave from November 3rd, 2025, for one year.About the Role:You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons in Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on healthy eating, nutrition, culinary skills, and food science. The ideal candidate will foster a love of cooking and support students in developing life-long skills.Key Responsibilities:Plan and teach high-quality, curriculum-aligned Food Technology lessonsDeliver practical cooking lessons in a safe and well-equipped environmentSupport students in preparation for GCSE assessmentsPromote healthy lifestyles and food educationMaintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the classroomAbout You:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalentExperience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3/KS4)Strong knowledge of food safety and practical teaching experienceExcellent classroom management and communication skillsA commitment to delivering inclusive and engaging lessonsUp-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)What We Offer:A supportive and forward-thinking school communityModern facilities and well-resourced Food Technology classroomsA collaborative and passionate Design & Technology department
