- Assembling electronic equipment and systems - cabling, terminations, fitting equipment into cabinets, and more.
- Following build manuals and instructions with accuracy.
- Mechanical fabrication and assembly, using hand drills, bench drills, and similar machine tools.
- Setting up and operating test equipment to conduct functional checks.
- Feeding back ideas to improve designs, make assembly easier, or cut costs.
- Assisting with the preparation of technical reports, diagrams, and manuals when required.
- Supporting general production tasks as needed.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in practical tasks.
- A team player that takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Good manual dexterity and confidence working with hand tools.
- A practical, common-sense approach.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well with colleagues.
- Ability to use common sense and know when to double-check something.
- Ability to use a computer to access files and carry out basic tasks.
- Experience in electrical assembly and/or hand soldering.
- Familiarity with machine tools or light fabrication work.
- Experience of working in a production environment.
