Job Requirements of the ECT English:
  • A recognised teaching qualification with QTS or ECT (with English specialism).
  • Strong subject knowledge in English literature and language.
  • Previous school-based experience teaching English as an ECT is required.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for teaching English and nurturing young minds.
  • Strong classroom presence with effective behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
