We need enthusiastic engineers with a strong academic and experience in Machine Learning. The candidate will contribute to the development and optimisation of models for embedded devices.Key Responsibilities:Ensure that work packages meet requirements, pass quality standards and are integrated with other parts of the systemInnovate novel AI technologies to enhance audio quality on embedded devicesImprove the run time performance of the AI model on device, including optimising model size, latency and qualityHave technical responsibility for one or more significant sections of the assigned projectBackground & ExperiencesA Master's or higher degree in Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline. An equivalent period of industrial experience may be substitutedProven skills in compiling, deploying, profiling and optimizing latency and quality models on embedded devices (NPU and/or CPU)Excellent general AI skills, including improving quality of models using various techniques, including developing new architectures, novel training approaches. Experience with building training pipelines, applying new datasets and achieving timely resultsSpecific experience and application of general sound enhancement technologies for voice or other audio components. Including but not limited to AI technologiesAnalysis and design of software modules within an embedded system including creation of demo applications to showcase AI work.Excellent general communication skills, including clear and concise written and verbal reporting. Proven experience with project planningWorking in a small team, the candidate must be a team player and be flexible, and able to exhibit excellent time managementPrior experience of innovation in AI space, finding new project domains and generating project proposal.Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:Publications in top ML conferences (e.g. ICML, ICCV, SysML or similar)Contribution to open source ML frameworks such as -TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, etc.Experience with knowledge distillation, computer vision algorithms, federated learningKnowledge of one or more interpreted languages, such as Python and/or JavaScriptExperience of real-time and/or embedded software development in C++ (on embedded Linux) including multi-threaded programming (POSIX)
