- Manage the preparation, maintenance, and routing of sales orders.
- Review sales orders and shipment contents prior to acknowledgement, loading, and delivery release.
- Optimise and streamline the freight shipping process.
- Coordinate and communicate loading and delivery schedules efficiently.
- Ensure all stakeholders are kept updated with any changes.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding shipping and delivery.
- Track failed deliveries and investigate to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with hauliers to ensure timely collection, loading, and delivery of orders.
- Confirm stock accuracy and support the Warehouse Manager with weekly, monthly, and cycle counts.
- Organise and optimise warehouse capacity.
- Provide sales coordination support, ensuring accurate order processing and customer service.
- Ensure all orders are correctly recorded, planned, and communicated for delivery.
- Proven ability to acknowledge and confirm customer orders.
- Experience recording and processing orders on SAP (essential).
- Strong attention to detail when capturing order details (customer info, PO numbers, product, quantity, price, delivery date, instructions).
- Ability to check stock availability and provide accurate delivery dates.
- Confidence liaising with Sales Managers and Production where stock is unavailable.
- Experience arranging transport with hauliers and negotiating best pricing/service.
- Knowledge of creating purchase orders and processing internal documentation.
- Competence in maintaining and updating freight schedules daily.
- Ability to track orders and provide proactive customer updates throughout fulfilment.
- Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies or shortfalls effectively.
- Experience producing and processing picking slips and delivery notes.
- Strong collaboration with warehouse and production teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional approach to managing queries, complaints, and follow-ups.
- Organisational skills including stock reporting, visitor management, and call handling.
