The role of an Accounts Assistant is to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong numeracy skills, and a thorough understanding of the financial sector, particularly within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
  • Keeping accurate financial records for all transactions.
  • Preparing balance sheets and reports.
  • Processing invoices and following up on payment.
  • Preparing budgets and financial reports.
  • Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets.
  • Updating and maintaining financial data in the database.
  • Performing administrative support functions as required.
  • Working closely with the accounting team to create and analyse financial reports.

  • A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant software (e.g. SAP).
  • Qualifications in Business, Accounting or relevant field.
