Commercial Manager - Passive Fire ProtectionLocation: YorkshireType: PermanentSalary: Negotiable DOE + packageWe're working with a well-established passive fire protection contractor delivering large-scale fire compliance and upgrade works across sectors including healthcare, education, social housing, and commercial buildings.Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Commercial Manager to oversee the financial performance of their major contracts - including fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation and fire risk remediation programmes.This is a pivotal role with scope for development and autonomy. Open to experienced Commercial Managers or Senior Quantity Surveyors ready to take the next step.Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial oversight of multiple fire safety packages across live sites
  • Managing subcontractor payments, valuations, CVRs, and final accounts
  • Ensuring profitability, cost control, and compliance with client frameworks
  • Working closely with operational teams, clients, and Directors
  • Directing the Commercial team of Estimators and Quantity Surveyors to achieve targets and ensure high performance
  • Supporting pricing on tenders, framework submissions, and rate negotiations
Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Strong commercial experience within passive fire, construction or specialist subcontracting
  • Experience managing remediation or upgrade works within social housing, healthcare, or similar
  • Excellent contractual and reporting skills (NEC / JCT)
  • Ability to manage several schemes concurrently
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior commercial staff (preferred)
