
Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology

- Full-time
- Full GMC registration
- MRCOG or appropriate specialist qualification
- Relevant CCT or equivalent ('equivalence' must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- Higher medical or research degree
- RCOG Sub-Specialist training in Gynaecological Oncology or equivalent
- Expertise in outpatient hysteroscopy
- Extensive experience in Minimal Access surgery in Gynaecological Oncology
- Evidence of experience of complex gynaecological oncology surgery including sentinel nodes sampling
- Clinical leadership experience
- Evidence of experience of use of HIPEC in ovarian cancer treatment
- Evidence of project leadership within Gynae-oncology that delivered improved patient care
- Evidence of authorship of clinical guidelines at a local or national level.
- Management qualification
- Formal Training in clinical management
- Good spoken and written English. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of formal and informal contributions to teaching and training for O&G trainees
- Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
- Evidence of ability to teach practical skills eg laparoscopy
- Postgraduate qualification in medical education
- Evidence of undertaking serious incident investigations
