Job Description"Accounting is the language of business.” Warren Buffett.Sheridan Maine is working with a growing organisation in Central London to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant / Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to support the finance team during a busy period and gain exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced business.Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant/ Analyst include:
  • Assist with the month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Support the review of subsidiary accounts and ensure they tie to the general ledger.
  • Help with the analysis and classification of expenses, working with other teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support external audit and internal reporting requirements.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to improve transparency and reporting accuracy.
The successful Financial Accountant/ Analyst will have:
  • Experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally in multinational or fast-growing organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, preferably US GAAP or IFRS.
  • CPA or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
