Pay: Starting at £110 per dayAre you confident working with secondary school children and passionate about supporting their learning? We’re working with a friendly and supportive secondary school in Pontyclun that is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.Role Overview: What You’ll Be DoingAs a Cover Supervisor in a secondary setting, you’ll play a key role in maintaining learning continuity during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and delivering pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Maintaining a focused, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Taking registers and following safeguarding procedures
- Supporting students with their work and encouraging positive participation
- Have experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school
- Are confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic
- Possess strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Have an understanding of the secondary curriculum (desirable but not essential)
- Are committed to fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
- Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
- Two professional references covering the past two years
