This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong desire to make a difference in young people's lives and gain valuable experience in education.Role Overview:As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with teachers to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable nature
- A good understanding of SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, dyslexia)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Suitable references covering the last two years
