  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs, including those with challenging behaviour, anxiety, or trauma-related difficulties
  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, social skills, and positive coping strategies
  • Use therapeutic techniques, visual aids, and structured routines to promote engagement and stability
  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to implement individual behaviour and support plans (IBSPs)
  • Create a safe, calm, and supportive environment that encourages trust, confidence, and growth
The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or mental health needs (in school or care settings)
  • Be empathetic, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and de-escalation skills
  • Be confident using emotion coaching, restorative approaches, and positive behaviour strategies
  • Be open to ongoing training, including safeguarding, mental health awareness, and trauma-informed practice
