Description:STRATHCARRON HOSPICECatering AssistantsPermanent/Temporary1 x 29 hours per week, permanent1 x 29 hours per week temporary for 9 months in the first instance(both posts will include weekend working)Salary £24,647 - £26,763 per annum, pro-rata.(£12.64p per hour + weekend enhancements)Ref No: 2509713An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Catering Assistants to join our team in providing a high quality dining experience for patients, families, visitors, students and staff at Strathcarron Hospice.You must have well developed communication skills, be able to work well in a small team and be able to demonstrate your ability to relate to the public in a caring setting. We are seeking someone who is passionate about developing within their role to gain more cooking skills and knowledge.Previous experience of working in a catering environment is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting and applicants should also hold an intermediate food hygiene certificate or be willing to work toward this.The kitchen is open 7 days a week from 7am to 7pm and we have two shift patterns 0700-1430 and 1100-1900.
