M Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Land and Utilities Surveyor to join their dynamic Surveying Team. This role is ideal for a college leaver, graduate, or someone wishing to transfer their existing skill set to the Geomatics Industry. As well as existing Assistant Surveyors looking to fast track their way into Surveying.What will you be doing?
  • Assist with data collection, processing, and presentation of survey findings
  • Collaborate with internal teams across design, engineering, and construction departments
  • Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain accurate survey records, including field notes and digital data
  • Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients as required
  • Participate in ongoing training and development activities to build knowledge of surveying practices and technologies
About YouEssential Skills and Experience:
  • Level 3 QCF Certificate in Utility Mapping and Surveying
  • Ability and willingness to work flexibly (shift / away from base location)
  • Ability to interpret technical information and drawings
  • Experienced in land and utility surveying
  • Basic site experience / CSCS accreditation
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word etc)
  • Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement
  • Full UK driving license
  • A five-year traceable employment history/study records
