  • Self-motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of the Commercial Team delivering one of the largest infrastructure projects in Scotland.
  • Part of a team undertaking financial management of a major, complex project(s) or a number of projects from inception, tendering, negotiating and agreeing contracts and then commercially delivering Projects often worth many tens of millions of pounds.
  • Developing and enhancing your skills in commercial awareness, client liaison and project management. Expand your understanding of the construction industry, flexibility and negotiation techniques.
What you'll be doing
  • Manage costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
  • Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain.
  • Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers.
  • Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contract administration with both client and subcontractors.
  • Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle processes.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
  • Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification.
  • Commercial management of a large infrastructure project or a portfolio of smaller projects.
Who we're looking for
  • You will have the following qualities/experience:
  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
  • Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
  • Experience with key contracts such as NEC.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Great Teamwork / Role Mode.

  • Applies organisational aims & objectives.
