- Self-motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of the Commercial Team delivering one of the largest infrastructure projects in Scotland.
- Part of a team undertaking financial management of a major, complex project(s) or a number of projects from inception, tendering, negotiating and agreeing contracts and then commercially delivering Projects often worth many tens of millions of pounds.
- Developing and enhancing your skills in commercial awareness, client liaison and project management. Expand your understanding of the construction industry, flexibility and negotiation techniques.
- Manage costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
- Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain.
- Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers.
- Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contract administration with both client and subcontractors.
- Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle processes.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
- Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification.
- Commercial management of a large infrastructure project or a portfolio of smaller projects.
- You will have the following qualities/experience:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
- Experience with key contracts such as NEC.
- Good communication skills.
