Job DescriptionSupport Worker - 1:1 Specialist Role (Bristol) - £13/hrLocation: Bristol Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour Shifts:Afternoon/Evening: 3:00pm - 10:00pm (includes sleep-in)Morning: 8:00am - 3:00pm Contract Type: Flexible, part-time or full-time consideredWe're looking for a compassionate, confident, and clear communicator to join a dedicated support team working 1:1 with a young adult who lives independently in Bristol. This is a specialist role supporting someone with PTSD, Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), and Sensory Processing Delay.About the Individual: He's bright, curious, and enjoys board games and all things Doctor Who. He thrives with open-ended questions and gentle, respectful interaction. While he lives alone, his two dads are actively involved and protective-staff must be mindful of their communication and maintain professional boundaries.Key Responsibilities:Build trust through open communication and consistent supportFollow detailed protocols around privacy and safeguarding, especially regarding room securityBe vigilant and aware of surroundings, particularly when changing or using private spacesSupport with daily routines, emotional regulation, and sensory needsEngage in meaningful activities that reflect his interestsRespect and follow formal "Do's and Don'ts" guidance (to be provided)Essential Attributes:Clear, confident communicatorEmotionally intelligent and patientAble to follow safeguarding protocols with precisionComfortable working independently and within a small teamRespectful of family dynamics and professional boundariesDesirable Experience:Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism, PDA, or PTSDUnderstanding of sensory processing challengesExperience in lone working or 1:1 support rolesWhat We Offer:£13.00 per hourSleep-in shifts paidFlexible working patternsSupportive environment with clear protocolsOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in a specialist care setting
