As a Sports Coach, this role is ideal for someone who can engage pupils through sport, build confidence, and encourage positive attitudes toward health, teamwork, and physical activity.Responsibilities as a Sports Coach:
- Plan and deliver engaging sports and physical education sessions.
- Support pupils’ physical development and promote active, healthy lifestyles.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and confidence through sports activities.
- Assist with behaviour management and classroom routines when required.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate sports into wider learning objectives.
- Support pupils during break times, extracurricular clubs, and school events.
- Previous experience coaching or working with children or young people is desirable.
- A recognised sports coaching qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
