This is a fast-paced frontline role where you’ll play a key part in safeguarding children and assessing risk at the point of referral. You’ll be joining a well-organised team that values strong communication, timely decision-making, and reflective supervision.What You Can Expect:Office base at Adwick Leisure Centre with hybrid working availableSupportive management and regular reflective supervisionStructured workflow and clear thresholdsOpportunities for training and progression3-month+ contract with likelihood of extensionDuties and Responsibilities:Undertake child and family assessments following referralsWork within statutory timescales to assess risk and implement safeguarding plansLiaise with schools, health professionals and partner agenciesParticipate in strategy discussions and child protection conferencesPrepare reports for legal proceedings when requiredMaintain clear, evidence-based case recording in line with best practiceRequirements:Social Work qualification and SWE registrationExperience within a frontline children’s team, preferably assessmentSkilled in risk analysis, safety planning, and multi-agency workingKnowledge of current legislation and statutory guidanceConfident, reflective practitioner with strong report-writing skillsThis is a great opportunity to join a responsive and forward-thinking team at a council focused on good outcomes for children and families.Contact: Emily Cooper – 07745200325 |
