- Provide high-quality, first-opinion veterinary care
- Conduct consultations, diagnostics, and routine surgical procedures
- Take part in the on-call and weekend rota with generous time off in lieu
- Support the clinical training of students and junior team members
- Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records
- Deliver excellent client communication and patient care
- Contribute to clinical case development in areas of interest
- MRCVS-qualified with experience in small animal general practice
- Confident with routine consults and surgery
- Comfortable with sole charge when required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in developing a clinical niche encouraged
- Committed to continuous professional development and high clinical standards
- Salary from £40,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
- 6.6 weeks of annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata)
- Holiday buy-back scheme for additional flexibility
- £1,700 CPD allowance with 5 days paid leave (pro rata)
- Certificate study fully encouraged and funded
- RCVS, VDS, and BVA fees paid, plus two additional memberships

- 1.5 in 8 weekends, with generous time off in lieu:
- Monday and Tuesday off after a full weekend
- Friday off following a Saturday shift
- Day off after each on-call night
- One on-call night every two weeks
- OOH phone calls handled by an external answering service
- Supported by a dedicated team of overnight RVNs (including ECC certificate holders)
- Remote monitoring of inpatients via CCTV
- OOH responsibilities fairly shared across an 8-week rolling rota
- Flexible shift pattern - team input welcomed to shape the rota
