- Liaise with HMRC to ensure correct VAT obligations.
- Provide clear, well-researched advice.
- Resolve VAT treatment differences with HMRC and clients.
- Participate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
- Manage a diverse client portfolio and generate new projects.
- Support tender proposals and VAT marketing initiatives.
- Conduct due diligence and provide VAT input for insolvency/restructuring.
- Train staff/clients on VAT matters.
- Investigate and resolve VAT queries.
- Review VAT registration applications and returns.
- Manage junior staff and encourage their development.
- Participate in internal and external training courses.
- Meritocratic career progression with ample scope for growth.
- Proven VAT advisory/compliance skills.
- Ability to explain complex issues to non-experts.
- Up-to-date technical skills and broad client business issue experience.
- Ability to manage a large client portfolio and win new VAT work.
